Who makes a better $500 bike: Fuji or Cannondale?

I considering puchasing a hybrid bicycle and I'm looking at the Fuji Crosstown 1.0 vs. the Cannondale Aventure 400. Some say Cannondales are overpriced, others say they are the best in their market.

Cannondale will offer the higher-quality frame, but it's also a bit frou-frou: One of the elements of a Cannondale frame is that they spend time buffing out the welds to make it look smooth and seemless. It's pretty much a waste of time that doesn't do anything but drive the price up and make it look purty. Frankly, it's probably a good way to obscure mediocre welding jobs.

The Fuji will offer better parts since the frame isn't as pricey.

Which should you by? Whichever fits you better. That's always, always, always what matters most.

One more thing: There's no such thing as "best in their market." The best bike is always the one that fits you best and has the features you want for the money you're willing to spend.

What I should Cycling: Cannondale Raleigh Venture 4.0 Fuji Quick6 or absolute?

I went to local bike shops near me and they are in my price range. I want to ride more often in parks, they use it for shopping near my home and take the road remote rare or occasional long through New York (bridges and roads). I must take it up stairs for storage. The risk (not 3.0 or 4.0, only the risk) is cheaper and more beautiful. The Cannondale is lighter. Fuji falls right in the middle, but I'm not mad. I am a total n00b bike and would welcome ideas.

Easy to change a flat on a cruiser bike?

What you'll need is a spare tube, a patch kit (small one about size of a quarter), plastic tire levers, and a multi-tool. There are saddlebags with all these and more pre-packed, but you can always build one yourself.

Here's a nice video on how to fix a flat tire. If you're on the road, just use a spare tube to replace it, and bring the flat tube home to repair later. Also, there are pre-glued patches (Park Tools is best brand) that you don't need to mess with glue and wait for it to dry.
