Women's replica football jersey sizes?

My friend's birthday is coming up and she is a diehard Saints fan. I'm looking online to get her a Drew Brees or a Scott Fujita replica jersey. If I were to get her the men's fit, I know I would have to get a small. But if I got her the women's fit, I'm not sure wether I should get a small or a medium. She is 5'7" or 5'8" and I believe she usually wears medium or large in women's dress shirt sizes. But for normal t-shirts, she wears a small. Would a small be too short or would a medium be a safer bet?
Ok. She's similar to my size except she's an inch or two taller. My bust is 32 & 1/2 and waist is 29. I'm mainly worried about the length because she hates shirts that don't sit on her hips or further.

The measure of the intensity of a tornado using the Enhanced Fujita scale is based primarily on the:

a. Doppler speed of the vortex winds.

b. The size of the tornado

c. The damage caused by the tornado

d. The duration of the tornado and the number of deaths caused by the storm

e. The darkness of the clouds near the tornado
Okay, and for the smart mouthed one...I ask them for fun. So other people can be knowledgeable. But this is coming from someone with as little as a percentage as yourself, no wonder why. U must be jealous! So back off, why must some people have such poor attitudes.

C is the old Fujita scale, and the Enhanced Fujita scale also took A into account, because sometimes you would get a powerful looking tornado that doesn't hit any towns and gets an F1 rating when it had the windspeed to be an F4.

I think the enhanced fujita scale is inaccurate and underestimates the wind speeds inside a tornado. The Spencer SD tornado, the Red Rock tornado, and the Moore tornado are great examples of the enhanced fujta scale's flaws(in my opinion).

The problem is really not with the scale, but how the scale is being used. The Fujita scale and the new enhanced EF scale are scales of damaged caused by a tonadic storm. This was done really for the insurance companies and those who wanted a scale of the destructive damage caused by tornado. But when you tell people of the damage, a common question that people will usually ask is what wind speed that can cause this type of destruction. That is where the problem lies. If there is little or nothing in the path of a strong tornado, the tornado will leave not leave a trail of destruction.

For example...if we have a very strong and big tornado spinning in an open field of grass, the damage will likely be light since there is little for it to be damaged. We would classified a low F or EF scale based on the damage left by the tornado. If an insurance agent was told it was a F1 tornado damage, he would know that the tornado did little damage. The scale only tells you how bad the damage was.

If somebody wanted to know how strong the tornado was based on the wind speed, we already have a scale for that. We give the the wind speed "scale" in units of miles per hour or meter per second. We should not be using a damage scale for an estimated strength of wind associated. The Fujita scale was not made for this. It would be like estimating the speed of a runner after he trips and fall on the ground by looking at the injuries to his knees. The injury will tell you how bad the fall was, but should not be used to estimate his moving or running speed.

I know the Fujita scale goes from 0 to 5; however I understand that researchers talk about an F6 tornado...but?

has or could such a tornado occur in nature? Or is this purely a theoretical tornado?

The Fujita Scale and the newer Enhanced Fujita scale are both damage based ranking scales. It is not a wind speed based rating system.

The original idea was to have a Fujita scale that extended past the F-5 level. But research has shown that since it was damage based, we can only define it up to an F-5 level before it becomes almost impossible to distinguished the difference between damage from a F-5 and a F-6. So the Fujita scale was capped with a ceiling at the F-5 level.

The best way to rank the strength of a tornado is by using the sustained measured wind speed. But until we can design something to directly measure a tornado wind speed of great strength and not an just an estimate wind speed (like by looking at the damage left behind or a Doppler estimated wind speed), then the Fujita or Enhanced Fujita scale will just have to do for now.

Note that there are some private or personal web sites that had added a F-6 or EF-6 to the scale, but that level is not official and will never be used.

trying to find a series of posters?

It's hard to describe, but they are drawings of faces with tears on them. They were very popular years ago. Maybe considered a mime face? White make-up with different make-up looks to them. Most of the ones I like have "normal" make-up, not mime type.
I have looked up the artist "Vira Fujita" as well as the the name of the poster "Pierrot Love Rose" on the internet to no avail.
There is also a line that says "Editions Michael Oks issue" on it and the only Michael Oks I can find on the internet is an interior designer.
The name brand I find is Scandecor, which has a poster web site which I called and they said they have NO idea where to find more and that poster series was dicontinued in the late 80's.

1) Thermometer, barometer--
Thermometers measure the temperature, while barometer's measure the air pressure. You can say they both measure something for the "compare" part.
2) Anemometer, hydrometer
Yes, again, they both measure stuff--just put the difference between what they measure (from 1, thermometers=weather, barometer=air pressure, etc.)

Do you think Deuce McAllister will be healthy this season?

The Saints have made some smart free agent acquisitions / draft choices. They're poised to return to the forefront of the league after last year's mediocre performance. Maybe even make another playoff run.

A healthy Deuce would be a real shot in the arm for our running game. Stecker has his moments. Bush is dynamic but he's no every down RB. Pierre Thomas is hungry & talented but yet to be tested. We need Deuuuuuce!

Oh! All this means nothing if the Defense doesn't improve! Charles Grant & Scott Fujita can't carry the team alone.

He better or, and no offense, but, the Saints are screwed.... They need that extra bang in their offense. Everything seems to click when Deuce in the lineup. The whole division is heating up and the Saints have worked very hard to improve their defense and now if their offense can come alive and perform like their talent suggests they can, they will thrive. Deuce is a much bigger deal to the team than Reggie Bush. He has some tred left on the tires and he will be like Corey Dillon was in New England if he doesn't get injured. But you can't predict injuries I just want to think that he's due a full season. A big thing I'm watching is Robert Meachem, the 1st round pick from last year. If he develops into that big compliment to Colston, then watch out....

what is the E-FUJITA SCALE?

The Enhanced Fujita scale is basically an upgrade of the original Fujita scale. In coordination with the SPC, NWS and the NSSL, decided to upgrade it to base it on the amount of damage to different structures instead of actual wind speed. Some examples of objects ranging from wood frame homes to brick homes, to malls, churches, well built steel buildings.

EF-0 65-85 mph Light damage will occur. Roofs partially missing, trees uprooted, very weak structures demolished.

EF-1 86–110 mph Extensive roof damage, cars tossed, outside walls can collapse.

EF-2 111–135 mph Weak homes can be severely damaged, roofs missing, cars tossed for yards.

EF-3 136–165 mph Entire stories of well-constructed houses destroyed; severe damage to large buildings such as shopping malls; trains overturned; trees debarked; heavy cars lifted off the ground and thrown; structures with weak foundations blown away some distance.

EF-4 166–200 mph Well-constructed houses and whole frame houses completely leveled; cars thrown and small missiles generated.

EF-5 >200 mph Strong frame houses leveled off foundations and swept away; automobile-sized missiles fly through the air for many yards, high-rise buildings have significant structural deformation. Not likely to survive if not underground.
